One thing led to another…
With more than 14 years of experience as a freelance graphic designer, I specialize in logo, logotype design and branding, providing my clients with creative visual solutions.
It all began …
The first 20 years of my professional life were dedicated to dance. I graduated from ballet school and danced professionally in Canada and Germany. This profession shaped me into the creative I am today.
After retiring from dance, I decided to channel my dance experience into another creative profession, graphic design.
How I work …
An empty page is like a stage where space, aesthetics, dynamics and balance are transformed into a unique choreography or design. No wonder that the first logo I created, was for the ballet company I previously danced for.
As a dancer, I learned to listen to choreographers and to interpret their ideas and visions into movement. I apply the same process of listening and interpreting, when approaching a new creative assignment for my clients.
In a briefing talk with my clients, I gather the most important information needed, such as the business vision, philosophy and goals.
In order to offer the most unique result, I research ‚what is already out there‘, whether local, regional, national or international. The creative process follows with utmost devotion to detail.
Logotype …
Developing a new custom logotype is a demanding task that requires knowledge and craftsmanship. My goal is to help my clients by translating their corporate, personal or business philosophy into a single icon or lettering, which then becomes the final logotype.
A large amount of time is spent sketching with different approaches, styles and techniques. This is a very enjoyable part of my creative work.
My passion…
Since 2018 I have been developing my lettering and calligraphy skills by participating in workshops and seminars.
Some of my work has been published in 4 issues of the Typism book.
