Client: Pueri Cantores International / Pueri Cantores Deutschland
Organising committee: Archdiocesan Ordinariate of Munich.
16.- 20. July 2025
Briefing
- Design a logo for the 45. international Children’s and Youth Choir Festival 2025 in Munich.
- The name of the festival is “CANTATE DOMINO”
- Under the slogan “Vielstimmig für den Frieden” (Many voices for Peace) and the hashtag #comeanddsing
- The participants of the festival are young choir singers, therefore the logo should be designed with simple, recognisable icons of the pillars of the festival which are:
The city of Munich as the host of the festival
Singing and Music
Peace
The Church - The logo should be modern, young, colourful and modular.
- Scalable – the logo will be used for all print and digital media. From social media icons to large scale flags and banners.

The design started with an online search of which logos, under the same theme are already out there.
The next step was sketching and defining the logo elements according to the briefing:
The CHURCH and MUNICH symbolised by the landmark towers of the Frauenkirche (Cathedral of our Lady)
PEACE represented by an upward-looking dove
SINGING illustrated by three open choir books
You can see here the main elements and few of the logo sketches presented to the festival.

Developing the best possibilities for a logo:
Presented here are 4 possibilities of the design of the book icon. The final version was the 4th, as it was most dynamic and connected perfectly to the tail of the dove in the complete logo.

Ran Keren supported us brilliantly throughout the process.
When creating the logo for the 45th International Children’s and Youth Choir Festival of Pueri Cantores 2025 in Munich, we had to bring a lot of different ideas together. Ran Keren supported us brilliantly throughout the process. His creativity and expertise resulted in a striking and tasteful design. Working with him was a pleasure – communication was always open, and his eye for detail made a real difference. Even tight deadlines were handled smoothly and reliably. He also brought the same focus and great energy to the design of the choir book and the festival merchandise.
